Hi everyone, I've been driving long distance lately so I start using eco pro mode just to get some extra mileage but being the first time owning BMW (previously Audi (:they don't have eco pro mode, at least the one I have)), can anyone please educate me on how to read the odometer ? I've look thru the manual but I can't find any. What's #1 and #2 referencing ? I noticed the #2 number changes while driving. Is a shame to ask but I just want to know. Thanks everyone ~

Sure. I've used it a bit and like the assisted coasting for sure using the battery

1. Is your average fuel economy since you started the individual session
2 is your average speed since you started the individual session

Ohhhhhhhhhhh got it. So is pretty much the average for the individual session. The number u see is from the initial trip (while driving) and if you don't reset it (hold BC button) on the returning trip, the total number on #1 will be the average of the round trip correct ? Because the number drop to about 26 or so when I get home.

Actually it’s the average since the last reset (I think). I have mine set to reset after each fill up.

“Reset After Fill-up” is an option in one of the iDrive menus, if checked it’s automatic with no input from you.

If I remember I’ll try and look were it is next time I’m in the car.

Interesting is this different on the X5?

For my G30 w/ iDrive 7 there is a few options for measuring.

Start of Trip
Since Last Fill up
Since Factory
Individual

You can toggle between them in iDrive.

A circle symbol with a diagonal line across it always means average. The numbers you see depend on which option you choose in the "Trip Data" menu. Only the individual one can be reset manually. Is there a "Reset After Fill-up" option on G05 X5? I don't have one on my 45e.

Got it, let me check the iDrive to see if such option is available or not. Thanks everyone and appreciate the lecture. Now I can better understand how eco pro works.

Just went thru the entire system, I don't see such option where I can cycle thru. All I can do is manually reset them using BC button. Let me keep looking………

Could this be feature specific ? Meaning I have to purchase certain option in order to have it ? Not really sure……

I don't think its option specific. on the g05, I believe there's only individual and since last fill up.
