Will a stage 1 tune affect warranty

I recently saw a car for sale that specifically said Stage 1 tune, does not affect warranty.
I sorta thought the opposite.
Thoughts?

Any change to factory settings, especially engine and drivetrain, will affect warranty on the parts affected. Anyone that says otherwise is delusional. Whilst a stage 1 tune might be considered 'safe', it's certainly not warranted by BMW.

BMWs diagnostic software ISTA+ now immediately flags any modification to DME upon commencement of a scan (at dealer). It'll then get reported and vehicle will be flagged, even if it's changed back.

I would go go with affected warranty as well.

Hahaha. Whilst you can take the boy out of Adelaide, you can't take the Adelaide out of the boy!
