Confused about CPO and extended warranty
I am negotiating with a BMW dealer for a 2007 E91 that is not CPO. However it looks like I may get this $1595 option to extend warranty:
What does this get me? I understand the big ticket maintenance items come after 50K. The dealer is leading me to believe this is just a warranty extension, but does not include maintenance for the extra 2 years and another 50K miles. |

AFAIK, CPO warranty covers major mechanical/powertrain but its not bumper to bumper. The extended warranty is bumper to bumper (hence an extension of your factory warranty).
Extended maintenance is a seperate thing. I thought you must be the original first owner/buyer to be able to opt for the extended warranty though?

This dealer (Murray in Denver) claims they have sold a lot of 72MO/100K maintenance plans to 2nd owners, no problem. Hmph.
