How to code traffic light recognition?

I live in Ukraine and we have this function disabled by default (dealer didn't obtain the police approval).

But I have full cafas with all 3 cameras in my car and full proficient assistant.

One company in Russia can code this but they don't share how they do. I saw a guy post (https://www.drive2.ru/o/b/596465267932934503/) where he shares his experience.

Now I want to code this for myself. Any suggestions?

I think there is a thread on the X5 section about this, and the person who coded it refuses to put together a guide because apparently its very complicated and ties in a lot of different systems.

Edit: found the thread. Sounds like a really cool system, wonder what regions its officially released in (if any)
