BMW X3: 2 forward facing car seats and 1 adult

Hi

We have 3 year old twins and considering buying a new X3. We need to be able to fit 2 car seats and 1 adult in the back.

Feels like the best option would be to install car seats behind the driver and on center seat and leave the space behind front passenger empty for third adult.

A couple of questions:

1. I am guessing car seats can be installed behind driver and on center seat using belt
2. What would be good option for front-facing car seat that would fit well and leave enough space for a third adult

Thanks a lot for your help.

I had two car seats placed in the rear passenger seats and an adult in the center in my F25. It was tight and uncomfortable for the center passenger. I am assuming the G01 will not be any wider than the F25. Car seats will vary in manufacturer's width. You probably will also need to account for the car seat protectors taking up width space too. Best bet may get an X5.

Diono radians is what I was thinking about. My thought was that the passenger is likely to have more space if I use the center seat for one of the car seats and leave the seat behind either the driver or the front passenger free for an adult.

Right and center is the safer place to put the kids (T-bones happen on left side more). Luckily for you the X3 back seat is a table-flat lifeless upholstered plywood look, which I hate but it certainly should accommodate your situation much more easily.
