You would need to use hub rings because the E39 has a 74mm center bore. In regards to the offsets, the more conservative offsets for the E39 may just barely fit the E9X series chassis. The E39 uses relatively low offset wheels, very similar to the E92 and E90 M cars.

e90 hub = 72.6 where do find hub rings? |

Hub rings could be found a local wheel shops or online. There are plastic and aluminum options.
