turn signal sound adjustable ?

the turn signal on my X3 is loud ! I will often turn it off waiting to make a left turn at a red light. Not a safe thing to do .
is this clicking sound adjustable or has anyone put some electrical tape etc on it to muffle the experience ?

This is a known issue - see this thread: https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1686424

The last few posts seem to indicate that, after an iDrive update earlier this year, the turn signal sound wasn't as loud. So maybe see if you can get iDrive updated?

My 2019 X3s turn signal was very loud as is my wife's X1. When I got my 2022 X3 it was noticeably lower.

Go to the in-car manual in iDrive and search for "imprest"
