Beep Beep Beep Beeeeeeeep

Every time I start my car I get 4 beeps, 3 shorts followed by a long.

Sometimes (rarely) it happens right away. Sometimes it happens 15 minutes after, or anywhere in between. Whenever the beeps DO happen, it only does it once per start.

It happens with the radio on or off, with my bluetooth phone on or off, and regardless of what's in the i-drive screen.

I can't detect any pattern, and I have no idea what the beeping is

.

Anyone know what this is?

Sounds like its the hour reminder, check to see if it happens in connection with the approaching hour.

Ha Ha 2nd that.

Weird hour reminder feature, although it only happens about 30 sec's before it hits the hour mark example 09:59:30sec beep beep etc.

You really need to clarify. First you say this happens every time you start the car. Then you say it doesn't happen when you start but later on.

Which is it?

My 5er used to beep at start-up (literally, at start up) and that turned out to be related to an electrical problem which was also draining the battery (no, it was not the memo feature).

could it be that the battery in your fob is low so it is beeping as an indication? Have you gone to the dealer to get answer? Keep us posted...
