This is OC kid's 2008 SSII M3. Overall, the car was in pretty good shape when it arrived. The CF roof on the other hand was a mess. The resin the roof uses is extremely sensitive to any type of contact compared to the clear coat on the rest of the car. The video below shows the left half of the roof unpolished, and the right half polished. It illustrates the transformation the roof went through after several passes of Megs M105 and SIP. Ignore the bits of lint on the right side of the roof, as they were wiped off immediately after the video was taken. http://www.dcturanoinc.com/ockid.mpg Tire brush used to remove debris and old tire dressings. Swirling and RIDS on carbon fiber roof. After claying just the roof. Left side polished, right side unpolished. Entire roof polished. JetSeal left to sit overnight. Taillights polished. This is user rickc's 2008 AW M3. The paint was dull, had minor swirling, waterspots, and bird dropping etchings. The job took approximately twelve hours. Front dirty, rear clean. Tips were extremely dirty. Right tip after P21S Metal Wash. Tips after CG Metal Polish. Pre-soak. Dull paint and minor swirling. After claying just the trunk. Halfway through polishing. Left half polished, right half not polished. Trunk finished. Hood. Out comes the heavy duty Megs 105. Hood finished. |

This car was filled with plenty of RIDS and swirls thanks to a weekly run through a machine wash. A yellow LC pad with Megs 105 on a Metabo took care of most of these issues.
After Megs 105 and Menzerna 106ff: After JetSeal109 and CG 50/50: ______________________________ My car's twin: 08 Space Gray on Fox Red M3! This was a much easier job. The car wasn't prepped when my client picked the car up three months ago. Thankfully he had washed the car properly since then, so all that was needed was some claying and light polish. JetSeal109 and CG 50/50 were applied at the end. Dirty: Foam Cannon: Swissvax Brush: After wash: JetSeal109 curring: After JetSeal109 and CG 50/50: UP NEXT: A 2008 Black Sapphire M5! |

Even though this is practically a brand new car, the paint showed swirls, RIDS, and extremely dull paint from driving in lousy Northeast winter weather.
Some of my tools: Close-up of swirls: After polishing: I couldn't polish the front bumper because of the lousy clear bra applied, but the hood shows an immaculate reflection: Outside The Plaza Hotel in NYC: Polished the tails as well: |

This is a board member's 08 Interlagos Blue M3. He did not request a polish being the car is brand new.
Left side polished, right side untouched. |

This is user h1d's 09 E92 M3. It came to me basically in perfect condition, with only a light claying, wax, and sealant needed. Finished this detail at about 9 PM, so not too many pictures came out correctly thanks to the darkness.

2007 Porsche Carrera S
Not too many pictures in this update because the screen on my camera broke and most of the pictures didn't turn out too well. This extensive paint correction took 11 hours. Paint was full of swirls w/ two RIDS on the hood. Hood (left side unpolished, right side polished): http://www.dcturanoinc.com/cs.mpg Rear wing before: Rear wing after: Hood finished: |

This detail was performed in New Canaan, CT. Of the three details I had scheduled for my NY/CT tour, this was the only detail I performed as the other two appointments got snowed in. A Sapphire Black 328 coupe, it had severe swirling on the entire body. Took 12 hours to complete.
http://www.dcturanoinc.com/zach.mpg Brrrrrrrr............... Rear wheel clean, front wheel dirty: Clay bar picked up a ton of contaminates: Trim and other pieces taped; ready for polish: Passenger side door panel: Passenger side door panel; left side polished, right side unpolished: Entire passenger side polished: Hood before: Hood after: Driver side after: JetSeal109 applied: Had to stop at 10 PM because the car started to freeze over: And then the snow arrived: |

This is an 09 Jet Black M3 with 221 miles on it. It had very few issues, so there's not much to talk about in terms of corrections.
Light contamination picked up: CF roof after light polish: JetSeal109 applied: After JetSeal109 was removed: Driver side door after light polish: Deep scratch in the passenger side door. Had to break out the heavy duty polish: Scratch completely removed: |

This 08 Melbourne Red M3 came to me in horrible shape. The owner left it to sit outside every night by a sprinkler system, which resulted in some of the worst water spots I've ever seen. Job took well over 20 hours to complete.
http://www.dcturanoinc.com/daveredm3.mpg This car was littered with etched in water spots and dirt that was practically glued onto the paint: After degreasing/polishing the wheels, scrubbing the tires clean of previous dressings, and wiping the wheel well down with Bare Bones: After cleaning the interior of the wheels: Even after pre-soaking the car twice, the sponges still picked up a ton of dirt. Left bucket was used to cleanse the dirty sponges, while the right bucket contains clean water: Leaves taken out from engine bay: Clay bar picked up a tremendous amount of contaminates: Severe water spotting on hood. Keep in mind that the following pictures are after two pre-soaks, a sponge wash, and clay bar treatment. Swirling on hood: Swirling on trunk: Left side of hood polished, right side unpolished: Left side of trunk polished, right side unpolished: These looked like claw marks on the driver side fender: Driver side fender after polishing: Last edited by eclipsisNA; 01-13-2009 at 08:25 PM.. |

Wow, awesome job on the Melbourne Red M3. That's the same color mine is. Mine is in nowhere near as bad condition, but it's nice to see what kind of potential the car has.

This is an 07 Midnight Blue Metallic Porsche Carrera S. This is one of the richer, more complex colors I've ever worked with. Upon first seeing the car, I noticed the extremely dull paint alongside moderate swirling on every single panel. After polishing, the paint burst to life, revealing a deep metallic blue with hints of lavender.
Up next: take a wild guess what my next detail is http://www.dcturanoinc.com/r81.mpg Dirty: Swissvax Wheel Brush cleaning calipers: Passenger side quarter panel before polishing: Passenger side quarter panel after polishing: Driver side quarter panel: lower part before polishing, upper part after polishing: http://www.dcturanoinc.com/eddiecs.mpg Passenger side fender before polishing: Passenger side fender after polishing: Passenger side door before polishing: Passenger side door after polishing: Passenger side door: left side before polishing, right side after polishing: Driver side door: bottom part before polishing, upper part after polishing: Driver side taillight before polishing: Driver side taillight after polishing: Rear bumper after polishing: Nearly complete: Complete: |

With this next detail, my camera battery died right after I finished claying the car. I still wanted to post it up being it's an Individual color: Titanium Silver.

I detailed this R8 a few weeks ago and haven't had the time to upload the pictures, but now they're finally up. This car had scratches on the roof and swirling on the rear turn signal housing. Both issues were corrected prior to a full wax and seal.
Minor scratches on the roof: During medium-grade polish: No more scratches: Swirling on the rear turn signal housing: Fixed: Before wax was applied: Wax applied: Wax removed: |

This next detail is a 2004 Carbon Black E46 M3. It had severe swirling and what looked like color sanding marks from prior body work. Total time to complete this job was 14 hours. I do not have after pictures of the entire car, as I finished close to 1 AM.
The entire car was littered with swirls and hairline scratches: Dirty wheels: Front wheel clean, rear wheel dirty: Swirls all over trunk: Trunk after polishing: Left side polished, right side unpolished: Passenger side fender before polishing: Passenger side fender after polishing: Driver side fender before polishing: Driver side fender after polishing: Driver side door before polishing: Driver side door after polishing: Passenger side rear bumper before polishing: Passenger side rear bumper after polishing: |
