track brake fluid recommandation
I was wondering if anyone frequently tracks their E90 and if they can recommand any brake fluid for track usage (high boiling point).
I don't plan to change the brake system (i.e. keeping OEM pads and rotors), but I want to make sure my brake fluid doesn't boil under heavy track use. So, any suggestions? -hkj |

Ben, I used Motul 600 brake fliud in my previous cars, which saw track time. Great product! Combine that with some SS brake lines and some Porterfield R4S pads and you are golden! Those pads do not dust like OEM either!

Hey Danny and co., thanks for the recommandations. I was at track/auto-x forum over at M3Forum.net and a lot of people recommand Motul 600 too. I'll give it a shot.
I actually took my car to Thunderhill last Thursday for their HPDE. It was a total blast. The E90 handles very well and with ZSP it corners like a dream. The only thing I was concerned about was possible brake fade. I didn't experience it last Thursday but I want to make sure I took care of this before I go to track next time. Danny what's the SS line you mentioned? This I'm not so familiar with.. thanks again, -hkj |

No problem Ben! I had soo much fun tracking my cars, I'm itching to take the e90 to Laguna...
The SS lines are Stainless Steel Braided brake lines. Stock is rubber which expands adding to a mushy feel on the pedal. SS lines prevent this an maintain a firm pedal feel. Wonderful upgrade to go with the Motul 600! Danny Quote:

Cool.. thanx for the tip Danny.
I'm definitely gonna change my brake fluid before I hit the track again. BMWCCA is doing a 2 day HPDE there late August, you interested in going? -hkj |
