That's great. Now they need to make these models handle better; and give us options for upgrades (i.e. BMW Performance).

Wait, wasn't 2007 the first year that BMW called their AWD system "X-drive"?

Thought it was 2009? My 2008 is still a "328xi" rather than "328i xDrive".

They placed the badge finally with the 2009 year, but the term "X-drive" has been around longer. I'm pretty sure that 2007 was the first year which would mean if that were the record year, then boo for the next two years of depreciating sales. I think when they update the system to allow for true power tranfser between the rear axles, things will change.

yep, w/ the x drive and dual turbo's you can't get air induction or strut brace f/ BMW. they said not enough room. there is some kind of engine mod comming out soon f/ BMW.
we will just have to wait and see.

I believe you couldn't get the strut brace on because of the airbox design on the N54. This isn't just with XI's it's with all 335s. The fix is to use dual cone filters or aftermarket intake and you'll have room to put in the BMW performance strut brace. Not sure what you mean by air induction?
