ASD and "Engine Sound" setting
I have heard different info about these 2. Does the engine sound setting turn off the ASD? I myself tested today because my burbles disappeared. I figured I check the Engine Sound setting and it was on reduced. I parked the truck and changed it back and forth from sporty to reduced and on sporty I was getting the burbles. I had the door open with my head out. Are these 2 different from each other? I have the ASD coded out with BimmerCode.

ASD and Engine Sound are 2 different things.
ASD is the artificial exhaust noises played through our sound system inside the car. Engine sound involves an external speaker, connected to our exhaust system that enhances the exhaust notes. I believe only the V8s have this external speaker. I personally leave it on sporty all the time |
