I can't remember what it's called, adpative or active or whatever lighting but it's on my X6. Don't have any pics, but basically as soon as you turn the steering wheel to one side or even just turn on one of the turning indicators, you get the corresponding fog light that lights up and my lights also turn slightly to that side.

Sorry I don't have any pics. Maybe that will be the next pic project!

I have adaptive headlights and cornering lights on my X3 (same as on the X6).I drive alot at night and on backroads.....very useful feature...headlights move approx 15 degrees to either side as you turn the steering wheel.Your headlights basically follow the curves in the road.Really helps around this area where we have alot of deer out at night and nutcase bike riders at night. Not a "gotta have" but a very nice"nice to have"!!!! Thanks! PalBay

In the US on the '09 it must be a standard feature, as I have it on mine.

Yes, it appears to be standard in the US market. It is on my X6. Nice feature, works well.

Either foglite also come on automatically, on the side u make a sharp turn. This is good in busy crowded urban city streets, so u can see the pedestrian you're going to hit!
