Angry Production Timelines and Quality Check

My 840xi has been in quality check status for approximately 3 months (went into quality check status on 11/17/21). I am quite aware of all the retrofits/delays/QC purgatory issues other users are experiencing for other models, but have not seen much discussion on 8 series production timelines. Anyone experiencing the same issues with production delays?

I ordered an 840 GC, production started on 2/3 and was completed a couple days ago.. it's currently waiting at the port. Only in Quality Check for 3 days.. so wondering why some are stuck in this state.

I was told due to some getting B&W and other options.

Sadly I seem to have been hit with 10wk wait due to individual paint, and B&W... lol Bottom line I don't think anyone actually knows why. I'm now waiting ship for past 3 weeks and was in QC for about 9 wks. Good thing I have no rush at all.

It's the November builds that are still stuck. Cars built after moved along fairly quickly.

Seems to be the case for some reason but I don't understand why. You'd think that all the cars after would get in line behind them.

It seems like those cars got pulled off after assembly due to missing parts and when the parts arrived they went to the cars on the assembly line. So the cars that were pulled off are only getting done when they receive extra parts.

I was (am still slightly) fearful that my March production was going to get in line behind them and I'd end up getting the car in September or something. But I see people with january productions going through like you said, so I figure I should be ok.

My M8 gran coupe finished production 11/26/21 and is still sitting in quality check. Quite frustrating that cars after mine are being delivered etc. I don't get bmws logic on that

The trackers aren't accurate from my past dealings.

When I did my last M8GC the tracker went from QC to at the dealership without an update in between.
