[DIY E92 M3] Drive Recorder DREC2000
Hello, M3 Fighter Pilots!!
I got a "Drive Recorder" DREC2000, made by ECLIPSE. It is not used at a circuit, but it is useful at a court. Why is it useful at a court? This is the CCD camera, installed under the back-mirror. It has two sensors, "Impact" and "Loudness". If it detects a big shock or crash sound, it starts recording. It records the moment of an accident for 20 seconds (before 12 seconds and after 8 seconds), and it shows the situation of the accident. So, it will refutes disadvantageous testimony for you, and it will proves your innocence. If anyone is interested, I'm selling a similar system. Its designed for racing, and pretty slick. Check it out here and make an offer!
http://www.chasecam.com/packages/Kit-RK1 It records to a CF card directly in MPEG format and integrates into the traqmate system if you do road racing/driving events. |

I'll pm you, but the answer is yes! I even have a bar/handlebar mounts. This is designed to go in open wheeled cars so it is water resistant and very rugged (no moving parts, all solid-state). The box you see up there is the recorder, so no need for an camcorder. Thats the full system. I also have extra cameras and a box that lets you do split screen, so you can have one forward and one back or whatever. BTW, if anyone else is interested, I have more than one box.
