Thanks for posting this! I just experienced the problem yesterday while I was sitting in the driver side with my keyfob in my bag sitting in the center of the rear passenger seat! As I recall, I was the one entered the vehicle first when my wife and I took off from home. After arriving at the destination, I turned the car off, my wife left the car with her keyfob in her purse and closed the door, then the car locked itself (we have comfort access configured)! I was like WTF, I had to reach into my bag and unlocked the car with my keyfob!

This really sucks, BMW can't seem to get these programming logics right! Can't program it to detect profiles reliably either!! This is like back in the 80's when anyone mentioned BMW, the first thing came to my mind was the electronic problems back then... Is it that hard for BMW to find programmers who can think logically about the different scenarios people would use their vehicles??

According to the bulletin, it looks like the software update won't be available until the end of March 2022....

Trying to understand if I have the same problem although haven't locked my keys inside yet.

When I approach the car it will unlock 95% of the time. As I go to grab the door handle it appears to lose signal and then lock itself. I've also been sitting inside with the key fob and had it lock itself.
