Odometer
Does the odometer get a few miles added or subtracted when you bring it in for any type of software programing? I remember when I brought my E90 to the dealer for the MP3 (pre-sept E90) retrofit, it came back with a few extra miles. I remember reading somewhere that it's normal for a full software upgrade.

Only when they take it out for a test spin. The update itself will not magically add miles. They actually just spin it around the road to make sure it's road worthy before you pick it up. Not a big deal that some make it out to be.
Now if they added a lot of miles on it, I'd ask questions but it's all part of the routine. |

Like others said, they do test drive after services. But a few miles "subtracted" would be something worth looking into. |

I know a few guys in New York City that can "subtract" miles... they are also dealers, but not for cars...
