E90 Family Buckets - Please Help
What do you do about placing the car seat in the middle? I had no problems when my car seat was rear facing, but after I turned the seat around, the middle headrest is preventing my seat from sitting against the rear seat back. I tried removing the center headrest to no avail. The car seat is tight and secure, I'm just bothered by the gap.

Would it make a difference to flip the headrest up?

Then I'm out of suggestions
But you know you're really spoiling your kid with that Recaro babyseat. Now he/she will probably expect to have the driver's seat swapped out when the time comes for a first car

No I don't have the folding rear seats. Is the middle headrest removable with the cold weather package? I choose the middle because it is the safest spot in the car for the car seat.

Danny, I think all headrests are removable regardless if the car is equipped with fold-down seat or not. In my car (equipped with fold down seat), you can pull out the headrest, hold down on the little 'button' on the side and pull up the headrest

I'll try again Leo, if it is removable, I will kick myself for not being able to do it the 1st time...

^ haha, I've removed all 3 rear headrests before and I don't believe they're removable ONLY because I have fold-down seat as the presence of these headrests do not impede the seatback from folding down properly.
For the middle headrest, I would prop up the headrest so it's in its upright position (so when you try to pull it up, it doesn't flop up/down), push on the button on the side, then pull straight up.

I've tried to remove the headrest but my seat does not fold down.
The problem that I came across was that the headrest hits the top of the roof and the posts are probably 1/2" longer so they don't clear the hole. |

They're removable Danny, but it took 2 of us to pull it out of my car last time. It was in there.

Where'd you get the Recaro? I found out I will be in the market for one of these in the next year - we have a new 09 family member being delivered this year. I think it comes with iDrive as in I Drive them everywhere

That looks wrong. I would NOT leave it like that. You want the full backrest of the seat absorbing crash energy. Also doesn't the manual recommend against using the center position for LATCH attachment?
