Gotta see it in person. The first X7 pictures I saw looked like poopie. After seeing the X7 in person, I knew I wanted it.

I don't see the validity in this picture - but maybe I'm wrong.

EDIT: On a different note I actually think it looks good!

It was apparently posted accidentally as a header on a BMW website in another country.

Ha, unfortunately that's what makes it valid in the current era of BMW design!

It doesn't look bad, but wish there was a larger gap between the DRLs and the headlights below it.

How is that a ”German design”? Did BMW move to Korea?
It’s a squinty eyed mess with a bit of the predator jaws. BMW is just destroying their designs with every new release.
That front end has a 10 years back Infinity QX80 vibe about it.

Looks like I will be looking into the next GLS63 when I am ready to buy and see if MB can keep some continuity in their design language.

Exactly… at this point, I’m so glad I have my loaded 2020 M50i, even if it only has 7.5k miles!!

While I like the current X7 better... I don't mind this.

It is interesting to notice, that on all photos & renders of the new split headlight BMWs (7 series, XM, X7) only DRLs are showing, with the main beam off.

I think we know why.

Are the wheels a new design as well?

It saddens me that BMW has gone away from their legendary angle eye designs. I have a feeling the owners of this new design are going to be leaning towards tinting the lower headlights.

Not a fan. Wheels look like they are from Lexus.

Thats the reason I'm going to sell my 2020 40i and buy 2022 m50d (preferred ) or m50i.

I want to see the M sport, the styling cues make
me think this is the base design.

I like this more than the current base X7 but less than the current MSport X7

I got to see it in person first for sure. Im sure it will rub some the wrong way, that always the case when you make a drastic change. only time will tell

Honestly I have neutral opinion about it, I don't think it looks bad, I think over time people will like it, and I think it will look even better in person

I don't need a Genesis GVX7. BMW is clearly designing for a new group of buyers. I must say I will not be one of them.

It's honestly pretty wild how even BMW is copying the split headlight trend that was popularized by Hyundai with their kona and santa fe's 6-7 years ago. It's so ugly. On all cars…

Best thing I can say is that it's not hideously terrible. But it reminds me of how Lexus relocated the DRL strip from an integrated and clean design as part of the headlight assembly, e.g.

... to this sharply disjointed checkmark somewhere in the bumper and extending to the fender, e.g.

Just why?
