BMW leather key case - dumbest thing ever?
I just got one of the BMW leather key cases - does anyone else have one? It seems to be the dumbest design ever - it is a nice piece and goes on the key great, but apparently no one ever thought that most of us keep our key on a keyring and there seems to be no way to attach the fob to your keyring once in the leather case! Anyone have any luck with one of these things?

I have a BMW keychain for regular keys, and this case for the fob.
I dont think it was designed for use with an added keychain.

If you want to use the fob on a key ring I imagine you could fit a key ring through the holes in the fob and the hole in the remote instead of using the plastic rivet that's included with the fob to hold the fob to the remote.

Will any of these leather fobs prevent the buttons from being squeezed? (and the windows and sunroof from opening in the middle of a rain/snowstorm?)
I have the original Mark I leather fobs, and have still had the windows and roof open.

I have that red BMW leather keyfob attached onto a keyring. I was thinking of switching into one of those red leather BMW key pouches being I don't carry any other keys on me.

Ok, they all look good but question is......
What happens when you put the fob in the car???? Case just stays up like that?????????? That would be so disgusting. |

Now we need a vendor to offer some cf roundel replacements....or at the very least some overlays.

The real solution to this very, very important BMW question is to get comfort access as an accessory to the fob case purchase.
I've never put the key-fob anywhere but in my pocket with the comfort access configurator active. No key chain blues, no unsheathing of the fob issues, nada. The fob keeper keeps the buttons from accidentally getting pushed when up close and personal.. that's about all it does. |
