car doing funny stuff in the cold weather?
The temp was ~ 10 degrees last night in chicago. I have a garage in my apartment building, but it's open air so it gets pretty cold at night. i've noticed my car has consistently been misreading the TPMS. Almost every time I turn my car on and it's colder than 20 degrees out, the TPMS sensors start going off..then about 20 minutes of driving and a reset, they are fine. this morning i turned my car on and my sunroof isn't working. it won't pop up or open properly.
anybody have similar probs? |

Tires actually lose pressure when they are cold. You will gain pressure once they warm up from driving.
Just check the pressure of the tires before driving it. They might actually be too low. As for the sunroof, dont open it... its COLD out.
