I just got my car from a dealership in CT and just realized I dont have an inspection sticker on it. The dealer is getting me NJ plates and will ship them to me once they arrive.

Does anyone know what else I need to do to be kosher in NJ? How do I get a 5 year inspection sticker?

I had the same issue.

When you get your plates, there will be a yellow ticket with them.

You have to go to a local inspection station within 14 days of receipt, and they will put the new car sticker on it.

If you miss the 14 days, you'll have to actually get it inspected.

Ditto, just got my plates and the paper to get the inspection sticker within 14days
Good to know if you pass the 14days you have to do a full inspection - thanks for the info

I've been cruising with out the inspection sticker since last July, I didn't know about the yellow ticket though until just now.
