no difference. e92 335i's equipped with DCT have a trans lever similar to the one offered in the 6 series (different from the 5ers I believe). BMW seems to have multiple forms of the newly-styled lever. we just don't get them yet.
late 2009-early 2010, when the facelifted e92 comes out, there should be an option for DCT.

double-clutch transmission (DCT) Drivelogic
. the DCT Drivelogic double-clutch transmission transfers engine power to the road without the slightest disruption to tractive force. With two transmission structures the system is able to switch simply between the two, thus providing constant power to the rear wheels. Gears can be changed without the transmission of power being interrupted using either the paddles, shift lever or automatic mode for even more dynamic comfort. 0 to 100 km/h takes just 4.6 seconds, two tenths of a second faster than the manual transmission.
