How to manually deactivate DRL in 06 E90

First of all, I tried searching for a solution on how to turn off your DRL but I couldn't find any, so I just mess around on the computer dash and figured it out how to turn of the DRL

My car is 06 325i, without iDrive.

Roll down the P thing next to the BC to get this.

Then keep rolling it down until you get to this setting, then click BC and it will show you a few options

After scrolling down to DRL setting, click on this setup and turn it off.

And I also installed E90 Andy's Angel Eye Harness and now on my E90 I got Angel eye as DRL.

Good luck with those without iDrive, and other with iDrive, I am not sure of your setting but give it a try.

alternatively you can refer to the owner's manual.

You should know better than to expect people to read anything if it's not on the puter.

with idrive, you can access the options/menu via idrive.

This works for all production years except pre-September 05.

QFT. The only way for early-build cars to adjust these settings is through a reprogramming by the service techs. If you have an '06 and can change the settings, then your car is built after Sept-05. Early-adopters got screwed.

Whether or not the service folks decide to charge $50 is up to them... some probably will, though IMO it should be a warranty thing (I'm currently getting my DRL's turned off as part of a larger warranty job).

FWIW, my SA confirmed that the settings cannot be added to the early-build cars, implying it's not just a software thing (perhaps a different ECU?).
