Salem's Lot 2022

The original debuted when I was 9 years old.
It scared the shit out of me to a degree where I needed my bedroom light kept on for weeks!!! There was a particular scene where this little boy who was turned, was floating and scratches this window from the outside....

Anyway, I've just learned that Warner Brothers is releasing a remake directed by the incredible director and producer, James Wan this September.
Early reactions to the trailer are impressive.

Man, the original hit me hard as well. So many parts just constructed perfectly to create fear on a different level. I downloaded it a few years ago, it's still pretty aggressive to this day. A new one? Hmmm. Might have to d/l that one as well.

Yea not going to get the wife to go see that with me. although she might not have issues with a light being on the in room for a few nights if she does. LOL

I didn't catch it when it first came out but I saw some short clips and unfortunately it's way too dated now. That scene in the kitchen was just LOL w the slap? LMAO. I'm sure it was scary back in the day but now it's almost comical haha.

Anyway, glad they are remaking it and w James Wan at the helm, he is the man!

EDIT: I think it was a double-head bump, not a slap, felt like WWE...or The 3 Stooges, they just went down & out lmao

Never seen the original movie, but reading the book as a pre-teen did invoke in me a similar fear where I needed the lights on at night

Watched a 1970s trailer of the movie and I must admit: this is gonna be like the Exorcist where I thought it was lame as hell until the last 10-15 minutes which gave me nightmares for days.

Key & Peele summed it up nicely in this skit.
