Black Residue on Exhaust?
So, I have had my car for about a month or two (328i) and enjoying every second I am behind the wheel. I noticed quite a lot of black residue on the exhaust. I have about 1000 miles on the car, and lets just say, I had to cut the break in period a little short every once in a while.
Should I be concerned about this? |

Well, you burn gasoline, it makes fume, it exit through the exhaust pipe, some deposits on the pipe or the bumper and that deposit looks black or yellowish brown.
It is normal you get the black residue, however not many actually sees the black residue often. Reasons you are seeing on your car. 1. You might have not washed your car for long period of time. 2. Your catalystic converter is messed up and doesn't filter the fume. |
