Question for E91 (hardtop convertible?) owners. . .
Hey everyone,
So for xmas my sister is getting a '09 328i E93 (hardtop), black on black with premium package. However, she has NO idea she is getting it. I can't wait to see the look on her face! Anyways My question is for all of you that own/drive the 328 hardtop convertible; what accessory or part is the coolest/best looking enhancement you have put on your car? What item have you had the most enjoyment out of after putting it on your car? Keep in mind my sister is not speed oriented (unlike her big brother ), and doesn't really care about getting the maximum performance out of her car. I'm trying to come up with a christmas present! Y'alls help is greatly appreciated!

E90: Sedan
E91: Wagon E92: Coupe E93: Convertible I myself don't have a 'vert, but a replica M3 trunk lip spoiler would look elegant. In terms of driver comfort I'd spring for a split center armrest.

If they made a nice decklid spoiler for the E93, I'd recommend that, too. Unfortunately, the ones I've seen don't add anything positive to the looks. Since your sister isn't into performance, and would probably appreciate something cosmetic, how about a nice set of floor mats (with her name on it), or an iPod (if she has the 6FL option) for the center armrest.
BTW, what a nice present to get! |

FYI Here's my split armrest. Personally I wouldn't be able to drive anymore without it I'm so spoiled now. The difference is between having your (or her) elbow just hanging on the very edge of the armrest vs the whole elbow resting comfortably on it. I have a sedan but it's also available for the coupe & convertible.
I also attached a photo of it installed in a coupe, courtesy of another member here Kev.

split armrest is great mod idea.
yeah, go for Ipod adapter as well, since those ARE pricey and shed have to spend a lot on one later. Floormats with name I think is overkill but thats just me. I think for the vert, the Carbon interior upgrade makes much sense because it will be visible mod to outside and looks very cool and sporty (you got her a black on black car so I reckon it will be fine). otherwise, not much else, since new wheels and all that is probably unnecessary stuff for her. And yeah, very cool of you to do that, she is lucky to have a bro like that.

Yes it does as can be seen in one of my photos, infact the photo of the part on the floor has the driver's side extended. They're oem and available either from your local dealer or an online dealer such as Tischer or Crown (better pricing online for sure). It also comes with a spring so that the thing gently rises to open and won't slam shut when closing it. At the time I paid about US$235 plus shipping and taxes.

For an E93 convertible, IMO the Coolest mod but a little pricey is the "Smart-top".
This allows you to drop or pop the top while moving up to 25mph. In stock form the E93 top will not work unless you are stopped. This way you can lower or raise the top, say at a traffic light and not worry about holding up traffic while your tops closing or opening when the light turns green. You just drive off and let it finish! http://www.elitepro1.com/item.asp?PID=2383 VIDEO: http://www.pcars.com/porsche_parts/s...le/p_4057.html

Either get the Wind Deflector or a new color angel eyes either 7500 or 8500 but that rear spoiler looks BUCK NASTY IMO on the E93s just because it has that shark fin on the trunk too
