Ohlins front coilovers HELP ME

I know im probably not in the right thread thingy but i need everyone to see this because im at a breaking point. I spent 1800 total with S&H on an Ohlins road and track Coilovers pair with not many miles on eBay two months ago. I finally unpacked them today and found this. I am so upset udek. I have spent over 64k in 1.5 years on my 2011 m3 (I bought it for 24k) and im honestly at a breaking point i might just sell it. Its everything i wanted in a car i supercharged it modded tf out of it n its absolutely beautiful but idek i keep getting fucked in the ass with stupid things like this. Ebay only has a one month return policy so i cant do anything. If anyone has a front coilover that matches this i have cash in hand i prefer local im in CT. My number in 8602786191. Please pray for me. Im 22 and my pockets are starting to dry up. Lol. *. OR IF YOU HAVE A SET OF COILOVERS JUST MESSAGE ME WHAT U HAVE PLEASE I NEED SOMETHING QUICK.

You paid 1800 for *used* “broken” suspension parts that retail for a little more than that new, having dropped 60+k on a 24k car while being 22?

Yeah, you definitely posted this thread in the right forum. No sarcasm intended by this last sentence.

If you waited two months to open the box, this is on you. I don't mean that as an insult - I've been in a similar position myself even with stuff that was new in a sealed box.
The eBay 60 day return window is just how long they keep the sale open to resolve issues, but that doesn't prevent you from contacting the seller and asking for an explanation and /or refund outside of that guarantee. Maybe you can get something worked out? And then even if you can't you could still email eBay and ask for help. They won't apply the guarantee but they might contact the seller on your behalf.

You are 22 and have spent $64K on a car?? Frick. I wish I had that disposable income when I was 22.

Always open the box right away, I guess that's the lesson learned here for everyone. Seller is probably laughing himself to sleep every night knowing you can't do anything to him now. Which sucks, but you should have opened the box way earlier knowing the return period.

I do think you are going to be very sorry having spent almost double what the car is worth in parts and upgrades though...in the future, I'd invest more in the initial platform and less in parts. Nothing is going to prevent rust, belts, general age out of this 2011.

Contact Ohlins USA and see if they can rebuild/repair for you. I believe they are in the Southeast US.

Sounds like you have enough money to deal with it

Contact Ohlins and see what they can do. I would try https://3dmmotorsport.com/ Barry at 3DM is the man. He might be able to help you as well.

Given one strut is fucked I bet the other is not in great shape. Probably better off buying two new ones or two refurbs.

I think you should post the link to the eBay auction. I'm interested in seeing which seller you bought these from, and the related photos and ad text.

That is the rear shock tho...What happened to the fronts?

Having to replace 1 rear shock isn't too bad. But if no fronts showed up, that is on you, should have checked earlier.

This can't be for real, can it? Waiting to hear about all that Nigerian cash that you'd throw in for somebody with the right shock.

Spending 64k on a car worth about half that; yet you are buying used suspension parts. And apparently not experienced enough with eBay to check what's in the pckg for 2 months. Then after a crashingly bad experience with used suspensions you are apparently willing to run 'what've you got' alternatives. This seems a little far fetched - throw in the funky grammar and I'm suspecting that this is a troll, or a phishing attempt. But forgive me if I've cynically dismissed this - if it is true, you are certainly getting an expensive lesson in how (not) to 'mod tf out of a car'. I bet there are a couple of online vendors who specialize in suspensions, and might even be able to whip you up something new that would both fit, and work.
