Differences between regular, awd, and M3 DSC modules?

Does anybody have any experience with what the difference between these three are? They all have different part numbers.

Is the logic different between the 3? Maybe the flow of the pump?

for reference - I have a 335xi - i just installed a BBK and pedal is spongier than I prefer after power bleeding with dsc activation. Found a good deal on the entire kit from an M3 (master cylinder, booster, dsc module).

I know the booster and the mc will fit, and i've seen people going from 335i to M3, so I was just wondering if I could do the same too. I am also able to do the coding, that isn't an issue.

You cannot run M3 DSC module (or any other RWD DSC) in Xdrive application unless it's converted to RWD.

Swap to M3 MC, and do a full ISTA bleeding procedure.

i totally figured that was the case, but do you happen to know why? I am just curious because they look identical.

could you go into more detail? If i turned off the E-diff I don't particularly see how the ABS would trigger differently for RWD vs AWD cars
