Facelift E90

Any one taught about upgrading their current E90 to the new face lifted one? I was looking at some pictures and it seems by replacing engine hood, front bumper and trunk lid with rear lights could accomplish this.

Any take?

+ side skirts...theres a line on the side skirt that continues into the front bumper and ends. it would look odd with just a random extrusion in the front bumper

I'm not a fan of the new E90, the rear lights look cool though..

I just want to get rid of the yellow reflectors in my headlamps. I'm otherwise happy with my E90. The only DIY I've seen for getting rid of the reflectors involves a heat gun and taking your headlight assembly apart which I'm not keen on...

I just want the upgraded kidney grille... I took a good look at the new one and it really seems that the new grill elements fit exactly into the old grill + "mustache" space.

I also like the idea of deleting the middle piece of the lower bumper silver plastic divider (black for 328i). Seems easy enough, no?

Yeah. You're right. I just have to change the front fascia, the grills, headlights, hood, side skirts, trunk lid and taillights and then I have..........'08 dialed like an '09.
I can't be first, but I could be next.

Well, I did it. I turned in the 07 E90 for a 09 E90. I love the new look. And the idrive. Just patiently awaiting the break in, so I can let it rip. I picked up the first 09 this area sold. They had them hidden away. If it were not the fact that we have bought 5 from this dealership, they would have never let us know they had them. Could not even test drive one, until they prepped it. I have AW with the Oyster. Awesome.

Mal, turning an '08 into an '09 is an expensive and pretty ridiculous mod, too, IMO. You have an '08 not an '09! Who are you trying to fool? Just enjoy the clean lines on your '08 - in some ways it's prettier than the '09. And I'm about to order an '09 because the lease is up on my '07 in a few months. Why spend your $$ on this "mod?" You could spend it on more useful stuff - wheels, thicker steering wheel, other upgrades. Personally, I wouldn't do it, but it's your money.
