New Memeber (E46 M3 moved to 330xi then to 08 M3?) - pics

Hey guys new member here and I am from PA...

I had an E46 M3 last spring and into summer and then got rid of that for a range rover sport. Now going into winter I had to get back into a bmw and I went with a 330xi after looking and looking for a 335xi and none seemed to work out. had to get an AWD car here in PA, which is why I looked over the 335i...if it was spring I would go for it.

so come spring time I'm going to get another 2008 M3 this time. my question is...if I do cosmetic mods to the 330xi (wheels, lighting, etc) would I be able to swap these mods directly onto the M3 come spring time?

Here is some pictures..........

the new car....

sorry facebook mobile upload pic. (i'll take real ones tomorrow)

[EDIT]

[EDIT]

my old m3....

tire shine, whoops

Seems like a great board...if some of you remember me, my name is Pittsburgh-M3 over at e46fanatics....

Any questions or picture requests please ask

Are you planning on getting the coupe (e92) or sedan (e90)

Regardless. most of your cosmetic mods are not going to transfer to the new m3. And most things you would mod cosmetically are already done on the m3 ex. lip spoiler, front and rear bumpers, side skirts, pedals, shifter......

The only thing i can think of right now might be painted reflectors but you might not be getting a white m3, and they might not even fit the facelifted m3 sedan.

By the way, I am in Pittsburgh too. Big game today

And you would have to get an m3 offset for your 330xi to transfer the wheels to your new M. That could mean getting fenders rolled. Maybe just wait to buy wheels as you won't really be having the car for long

Assuming you are sticking with the E90 (sedan), I'm sure you can get blackline taillights too.

Most people swap out tires in the winter, not cars.

umm do you change cars every season? , you can transfer over some cosmetic mods only if you get a e90 m3 though.. Why not just order a 09 335xi instead of M3.. what are you going to do with it comes winter? sell it and get a x5? I joke I joke. welcome for the time being

This is true. The car doesn't need tires or anything...I just can't stand to keep stock wheels on a car for long! Although these wheels are classy and actually fine to my taste. Looks like I will keep it stock for the time being then and look forward to spring!

My Dad owns a car dealership, so I'm in and out of new cars all the time. But hey, it's business!

Beautiful M3, I personally would just enjoy the xi and wait for the m3. From experience having several bmw's in pittsburgh it is very hard to sell used/new parts because there are very few bmw customers.

Rgd swapping out parts, the only ones that I think that would be worthwhile are interior parts. All exterior parts will incur a take on/take off labor expense. Front lips, rear lips etc.
Good luck
hope to see you cruzing pittsburgh
