Yellow E-brake light

I've had a yellow e brake light for as long as I've had the car. The only code is 5e34 Longitudinal acceleration sensor. I replaced mine with a used sensor, but the light remains, even though I've cleared the codes. Could both sensors be toast, or is there something else causing it? I previously had an sas error, which I fixed by getting an alignment. It did not fix the 5e34 code.

Check brake fluid level and brake pad wear sensors, both can set off a yellow e-brake light

Have you tested the wiring for the sensor itself?

I didn't see this until just now. I still have the light, but no real way to test the wiring. Is there some sort of programming required to make the module communicate properly?

Hi, I also had the 5E34 error after I replaced my old pre facelift DSC with a DSC from a 2011 facelift. After you have installed a new DSC sensor cluster you need to adaped/learn the new sensor with ISTA. There is a extra job in ISTA for.

If adapting does not help something seems to be wrong with the DSC. You could measure the four wires between DSC and sensor. If the problem cannot be solved there could be a defect in the DSC. Broken solder joints are unfortunately often problems with the DSC.

Just yesterday I described my DSC exchange procedure. In my post you will also find the cable pinout of the DSC sensor cluster:
