advice needed

pretty much i was removing my starter on my 335i and i stripped the top bolt, saw on forums that my new best route was to drill out the ear of the old starter and it would come out. i did just that and the starter came out but there's still some metal attached to my block via the screw that's still in there, i'm trying to get it out with a chisel but it won't budge, i'm scared to drill it out because i don't want to punch a hole in my block, any advice?
