Low Tire Pressure Message?
Wife got in X5 this afternoon and said she got the tire pressure low message--check at your convenience, but you can still drive.
She hit the hot key for the tire pressures but they all show green. But when she goes to the screen where it has tire pressure, engine oil level, required service, etc. the tires on the pictured X5 show green but it has "low" and is pointing at the car. No app on my phone (long story you don't care about) and I'm traveling so can't look at anything myself. Just figured I'd ask experts. Anyone ever seen this? Is there something she's missing? |

Tire pressure changes with temperature, so it could have been low, and as it was driven, it raised enough to get back within the normal range. Depending on how you have things configured, IF you have the proper sized tires selected, you will also get a current pressure and the recommended pressure based on the tire's current temperature.
The dealer should have set that up prior to delivery, but that doesn't always happen, so you should change it to the actual tire size and type on the vehicle, then adjust the pressure to the currently recommended value, then perform a reset. |
