Love it. Although I’m not going to get it in frozen or xpel stealth wrapped, I love the MBB color. An hour ago I walked past an X5M on the street. First time I saw MBB in person. Loved it. Made me happy I picked that color for my M60. The frozen looks very sleek but the price/upkeep is just not worth it to me. Love the black wheels too. But since I live in the snowiest city in the country im going to get some winters (and rims). May or may not powder coat them but I think with the rest of the trim black, the wheels need to also be black in order to complete the package.

Wow, the video really shows multiple issues that don’t work at all inside and out.
What a departure from the current cohesive design. This side vent for example looks cheap and oddly out of place??? Looks like something from Chevrolet. A lot of it has to do with the lack of a leather binnacle around the gauge cluster as on the current model. There is no flow from components to the gauge cluster now. It’s too choppy and abrupt. The old S-Class got around this design flaw by including a leather binnacle to mask the edges of its long one piece screen. BMW looks like a after thought or a unfinished implementation of its screen. Last edited by MystroX5; 07-15-2022 at 08:58 AM.. |

I went through this with 30 years of owning 911 and as long as there is continuity you can infuse new design elements in evolutionary steps. I certainly want to see the new design in person. |

I am so glad I am waiting for the 2023. My dealer had me drive a 2022 M50 in Dravit that he has available as a client backed out for 2023, and I am sticking with the 2023 as well. The current model immediately looks dated, both the dash and the front end.

Normally I would agree with this, but to be fair...it does look Chevroletish. No flow whatsoever.

100% agree - look at the new 7 series. This shows how this new design language should be executed. With the X7 refresh it’s a bit of a jumble and not at all cohesive - inside and outside. |

Why the fuck are there so many m badges all over it!!?!?! It's not a real m vehicle and yet it nearly has more m badges than my x3m comp!?!? It's like bmw takes one step forward and 3 steps back. They finally are correcting their huge grill problem, but now they are doing cars as a service and selling out the m brand?
None of the other one step below m cars have this many m badges.

That’s not the issue. The issue here is this is trying to combine two design languages and that rarely works. The new 7 series shows how this design language should be executed. The refresh is a forced fit of a few elements probably driven by cost saving.

It looks like an in-between design to soften the blow of a much more aggressive overhaul in-terms of design. That front end is clearly going to be the most polarizing issue since it's the most dramatic change. The interior is clearly in-line with other 2023 models like the new M340i and fully electrified models. It's a meh for me however I'm not in demographic to purchase the X7; it's customers will love it no matter what.

Agree this this. The new 7 series looks more coherent, and looks like they redesign the whole dash for the screen. We will just have to see where this trend is going. Hopefully it will get better in the next redesign.

For me, air vent design is not much of a problem.
I really don't like the <<<<< X7 LED mark on the front trim... it's too much "in your face". I'd rather have the new 7 series rainbow crystal trim than to have characters on my interior... |
