2023 X5
So....No LCI for 23 according to the live configurator online? No led grill, B&W is back. No DHP with trailer hitch! No ind white/blue interior. No M60i. Still M50i. No ID8. I got my X5 on 12/22 and was hoping they would put the LCI off for another year. So it will be a 2024 model it looks like. And also price went up 1500ish for my exact build in a 23.

The LCI has been scheduled to begin in April of 2023 for a year or so. Unfortunately the press either had or made up bad information regarding the LCI.

Some (few) confuse date of manufacture with model year...it's a rare vehicle that starts production in the same year as the designated model year today. FWIW, MY 2023 vehicles are being made now, and it's a long way from 2023. The LCI will actually arrive fairly early in the scheme of things. At least in the USA, there's a federal regulation on how long you can call any vehicle the same model year.
US regulations allow any vehicle made after January 1st of a year to be designated as the model year of the next year...IOW, a vehicle made after January 1, 2022 COULD be called and registered as a 2023 model year, if the manufacturer wanted to. |
