Lurch/hesitation on first acceleration after start up

My car is having an odd lurch/hesitation upon the first take off after being parked for a few hours.

Only happens once and then the car drives perfectly the rest of the time afterwards. It's much more prominent when I try to accelerate harder (leaving a parking lot to get back onto the main road into traffic quickly) where it has little power through throttle response until I let off the throttle and get back into it and it never has the issue again until a start up after being parked for a few hours.

No codes thrown, it almost feels like a bad misfire but all coils are new as well as plugs. It didn't start after I changed them, I think it actually started after a new BM3 update but not 100% sure on that being the start of the issue. Any ideas?

Don't get on it right away once its cooled down. Take it easy until temperatures normalize.

Normal

This is normal for the 335 or at least what I experienced in mine. MHD Stage 1,2,2+ all make the issue worse.

If you are talking about the first cold 1-2 shift that is normal. If you are talking about actual engine issues/misfires/etc that is not normal.

My 435i -15 also lurch 1-2 first time in the morning. Easy on throttle but goes up to 2000rpm and then into 2nd and the whole car lurches forward

PDS built transmission also has a 1 to 2 lurch. You can use XHP to set the trans to start off in 2nd gear unless in sport mode.

Yup, lots of threads on the transmission lurch, but OP also said "where it has little power through throttle response until I let off the throttle and get back into it" which sounds like a real issue.
