You are on your own, what film would you watch?

The wife's gone out, and I want to put a film on at around 21:00 with the full Dolby Atmos cranked up!

Need some suggestions and No smut!

What film would you watch?

Last time I had an evening to myself I put on the Snyder cut of Justice League. About a 4 hour session there.

Otherwise I'd go for;

Snatch
Legend
Bohemian Rhapsody
Top Gun (or Top Gun Maverick as it's now available)
Equilibrium
Dune (I haven't seen it yet)
The Irishman
The Gentlemen
Empire Strikes Back or Rogue One
Back to the Future or Bill and Ted.

But then I might get paralysed for choice and watch a series as I'd run out of time for a film

Another vote for Top Gun Maverick!

Can’t tell you how much I’d love to watch this with the atmos cranked up. Could be a while before I get chance with a 3 month old baby in the house 🙈😂

I saw top gun just recently at the I-Max, don’t think I could stomach watching all those Tom Cruise jaw flex’s again so soon!

Just opened the Tray and popped “Heat” in. Not seen it for a while and has quite possibly one of the best shoot outs!

Oh hang on someone’s just mentioned the new Dune, not seen it (never seen the original either) and it’s available to buy on Amazon prime!

Only DD 5.1 though!

Is it any good?

Dune is good

Or try Nobody, with Bob Odenkirk.

Or The Grey Man if you like lightweight, mindless, but good action.

I was not that impressed with Dune. Found it a bit slow and drawn out. Worth a watch? I suppose so, watch it again? No!

Another vote for Top Gun Maverick - what a brilliant film. Watched it twice in last 3 days. The sound is amazing and the flying scenes are remarkable.

It follows the book and the story a lot better than the original though. If you have read the book, the original is hard to watch and if you havent, I dont see how anyone could work out whats going on!
As its based on a book, most books have a slow start, then all the action is at the end, so the next film should be better.

I watched Samaritan on Amazon last night, thats quite good.

Kawasaki fans should watch Maverick. The original GPz900R from the first film, a supercharged H2 and, if you look closely, even an original two-stroke triple H2 in the background of the final scene.

The plane stuff is ok too
