I played around with it and there is no options to select after paint, leather, and wheels. The big options or much of any options are still not available. WTF BMW? ALPINA is supposed to be a bespoke level of BMW and it’s not even up to flagship production level vehicle.

Does anyone else find it strange that Alpina Green isn't a color option? Feels really incomplete. Does anyone have any insight on this?

What do you think is missing? Aside from Alpina Green paint and the Alpina black walnut trim, it’s all there. The pre-LCI had the 23s and led sunroof as options, but those are included now. USA has never gotten the full Lavalina interior options; beyond that I’m not sure what’s so obviously missing. This time we at least get a choice of bright or shadowline exterior trim.

Yeah I find that strange as it’s clearly an option in the dealer order guide for 2023 Alpinas. Interestingly it’s not in the paint section, it’s in the separate options list so maybe that has something to do with it? Also as pointed out Alpina Black Walnut trim is missing from the configurator as well.

On another note, I’ve been told BMW NA is currently halting Alpina orders because they got too many. Bummed about that as I’ve been waiting to order one since they were announced.

Rear Seat Entertainment, Ambient Air, Night Vision, Full Alcantara Sun shade, etc.... These are items available on flagship production X7 models. The ALPINA should get its own list of exclusive bespoke options separating it more. A 22" wheel option is oddly missing since its what most would consider the max wheel size for the platform.

Shadowline trim was an option pre-LCI as well. Rear seat entertainment is no longer available so that’s the only other previous option compared to what’s there now.

Any additional rear entertainment options? Brake caliper color options would be nice. Is it assumed that all luxury options are included?

I'm not saying it's terribly incomplete but for a vehicle of this magnitude it seems like there would be more options/customization.

I don't see the option to make the front end/split headlights look palatable. Also, why can't I delete that tacky ass XB7 light graphic on the dash?

Joking of course, but boy am I glad I was able to pick up one of the last available pre-LCI Alpina's.

If full shadowline was in fact brought to North America as an option that is really cool.

The online configurator does show the grill, tailpipes and Alpina decals in front and back still in chrome. Wonder if that is accurate and what exactly does the shadowline cover. Hard to figure out though.

Might be a glitch in BMW configurator and we won't get full shadowline at all or it might be the exact opposite and everything that originally comes in chrome can now be ordered in black. Or... BMW configurator is correct and we get shadowline on everything but the front grill, tailpipes and Alpina badging (which would be a nonsense). Screenshots with shadowline opinion attached.

A couple of minor things I noticed looking through Bemagrp's list of standard and optional features compared against the M60i order guide:

1. 1CE, 48V Mild Hybrid System is not listed for Alpina. The press release mentions it several times, though, so I assume it's still there.
2. There is no mention of brakes. The online configurator shows the blue calipers of 2NH, but it's not in the equipment list that way. The Alpina "high performance" brake option also uses blue calipers plus cross-drilled rotors. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say those aren't USA-bound.
3. Alpina allows 320 Badge Deletion from the factory

All in all, the XB7 pretty closely follows the M60i equipment list aside from nearly everything being standard. The exceptions that I saw were standard exterior satin trim instead of shadowline, the non-M Sport steering wheel, and a couple of exterior colors missing (Brooklyn, Frozen Gray).

I just don’t really see what you are paying an extra 35k for compared to a loaded M60i. Yes a little more power and the Alpina name but it doesn’t really seem like a big jump in luxury/exclusivity.

Yes I agree with this take. You're essentially paying 35k for a BMW factory tune, which seems wildly overpriced.

With all due respect to BMW owners here, if you don't understand concept of Alpina vehicles in general, please educate yourself before you making comments like " why people still paying 35K more for same as mine ".

At least read following to see difference.
https://www.motortrend.com/news/2023...t-look-review/

Twin-scroll turbochargers, intercoolers, radiator, integrated transmission cooler, brakes, suspension, sport exhaust system and much more.

I would gladly pay 35K or 45K more to drive something unique and hand made.

It is my opinion only, many people many different opinions.

The only regrettable thing is that the Alpina LCI XB7 is suffering from the same shortfalls as the LCI X7. Worst of all, the alpina got hit extra, because they also removed some features that were previously exclusive to the Alpina, like the "Comfort Plus" Mode which I've thoroughly enjoyed on my 750i.

I mean, that's all great, but in the end, it doesn't really change much in the vehicle that a tune wouldn't accomplish for much less. It's not like anyone is tracking an X7 in any form. I can understand someone needing to understand the cost difference between say, a 911 C2S and a GT3 because upgrades are easily quantifiable on track.

For large performance SUVs, the only "performance" metric that really matters to most people is straight line speed, and without the comfort plus mode and Lavalina leather of other Alpinas, the XB7 fails to truly differentiate itself in any other quantifiable metric outside of a slight increase in straight-line performance.

I guess that’s the point. I just don’t feel it’s that unique

I do have comfort plus programmed through BimmerCode,
and driving before X7 40 Msport, and X7 M50 and XB7 can tell you huge difference.
