Center jack points?

I have been searching the forums, Google etc and I am finding what feel likes contradictory answers. Hoping someone can help me out here with a definitive answer. Are there front and rear center jack points on the drive 240 g42?

Does not exactly answer your question, but this underside picture may help. Using some common sense, I am sure you may be able get what you need. I pretty much never use center jack points on low slung cars. I work my way up from the sides within the wheel base.

Wow, amazing photo, thanks! It is actually super helpful for the front, but I am still not sure about using the diff.

I've been shopping for new jack stands recently and am now considering getting/using ramps for oil changes, if I do this I'd place a jack in place as backup for the ramps.

If I have to remove wheels, I have a jack and jack adapter

what do you do about jack stands? if you use one of the corner jack points, where does the stand go? especially if the majority of stands are the U-shape looking ones, you can't use that puck adapter thing to get into the jack points. this is my first car with the special jack points... I usually just put the stands under the pinch weld thing

I was planning on getting jack stands with a flat surface area and using adapters, or for traditional jack stands, you can look into getting these

I actually asked this question a while back and the user Coconut seemed extremely confident of the jacking points, but alas I had already bought a low profile jack. They seemed to be suggesting it would only be possible with an extended-reach low-profile jack, and they are probably right, but I haven't been brave enough to try, b/c in the 5% chance I am wrong or do it incorrectly I will fuck my car up . https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2038581

Also on a side note I explictly asked my dealer service center about the center jacking points and they explictly told me that you can only use the side rubber lift jack points ONLY.

There’s a member here who has successfully lifted the front with a floor jack including the pic. Here’s the service manual section on the procedure for the 240.

Have used ramps for oil changes on a number of cars: Boxster, VW Golf TDi, GTO, Cayman S, Porsche Turbo. Ramps work great.

However, now if I wanted to service my cars I'd get a portable hydraulic lift ideally one that allowed me lift the car by its tires/wheels which is nice for oil/filter servicing or lift the car by its factory sanctioned lift points -- the ones the lift/support the car at the same lift points the lift in the dealer service bay uses -- which would be for removing wheels or doing brakes.
