It would be sweet to have it covered under warranty. But no.

My dealer covered the alignment within the first 1000 miles. I brought it in with a steering vibration and after road force balancing the tires, the vibration was still present. I asked about an alignment and it was off and that corrected the vibration. FWIW, my local Dinan shop does alignment for 1 hour labor, around $100, so some of these quotes for $280 are insane.

I'm having alignment done right now. BMW charges 129.00, but dealer gave me a coupon for 119.00. Big whoop... I guess 10 bucks is better than nothing..

For those of you in OC:
Laguna Tire in Laguna Hills

Should be reasonable for alignment. I took my E90 to have some tires mounted and alignment checked and they were cool. Tell them you're on e90post. Cool guys, BMW friendly, one of the guys drives a lowered E90.

going straight ???

When mine was new i had it realigned because on a level straightaway the car would drift left. this was in the first 2 weeks. i remember the bill was around $300 or a little less. but they covered it then because i voiced my observations w/in the first few day. and i fact it was off. they did a 4 wheel alignment.
don't think they will go for that now, but if it needs it, then it needs it.

Nope. My dealer charges $129, not a big deal IMO for about a once-per-year thing. I have them do it every spring when I mount and balance my summer wheel & tire set.

it's not big deal if we (socal members) only had to pay what you are paying...

4 wheels alignment will cost from $150 - $250. A good alignment will easily cost over $200 plus and can take up to 2 to 3 hours. The alignment can get kick off very easier if you have ever hit your wheel(s) while parking. For a whole year, even if you just have been driving hard without hit your wheels, the alignment may also be off as well. That is why it will not be covered.

I just got my wheels all realigned at a "Firestone Complete Auto Care Store". They use Hunter laser equipment. It came out very good, drives great and tracks steady and on center with no pulling. They charge $75 out the door... I paid $119 for lifetime free alignments for as long as I own the car. I'm not paying $299 at my BMW service center every time I need an alignment... plus I don't want my carpet and leather interior to get all sandy. JK
