cuts dings scrapes in bumper

Do you fellas get unexplainable cuts/scrapes in your front bumper? I washed my car today (by hand) and lo and behold 6 marks on the front bumper. Hard to say, I don't parallel park it, and rarely is it exposed so that someone could bump it. I wanna say something hit the bumper from the road, that's my guess.

i wish six minor spots were all i had to worry about. i looked at my car the other day to find someone took off a pretty decent chunk of paint all the way down to the primer and cracked the surrounding areas.

Rock chips usually look more like sand blasting on the front. Cuts are usually from parallel parking "by feel." But if you don't parallel park, the only thing it could be is rock chips, I guess.

On another note, I swear I'm getting sick of people tossing lit cigarettes out their windows on the highway in front of me, sparks bouncing on the road after them. I don't know if I'm just noticing it more lately or if jackasses are now flipping cigarettes out at cars behind them. I must have noticed this a half dozen times the past week from the cars in front of me. At this rate, I figure I'll find a cig butt embedded in my radiator one day.

Yep, rock chips are usually smaller, not a line that looks like a gash. The only time the car has been exposed is at a UGH mall maybe 3X, work once, but still way on the end. I guess I'd still rather have something on the plastic instead of the metal i.e. doors, and they're still perfect knock on wood.

I hear you. The worst was following a "Comcast Contractor" once (Ranger pickup) and having an entire fast food bag fly out the window. What a disgrace, huh? Bad image for the co. Yet another reason I'm going to FiOS on Monday! Happy New Year all!

Everytime I wash my car I find a new rock chip either on my bumper or hood. It pisses me off cause I haven't driven spirited 4 a while, just been cruising to & from work. Is bmw paint this weak?
