What BMW Software Update did my 335 get?
I'm looking at my Oct 30, 2008 invoice...went in to get a new steering column installed. on the invoice though, i noticed that it said the following:
FC: 3232056500 Part # 32-30-6-786-899 Count: 1 25820 Found ELV faulty/car in need of programming update. found fault M1371a, followed test plan for fault and test plan promoted to replace ELV (diag code: d6100_0000000_17_0032). R&R ELV steering unit. Also test plan for related fault A149A prompted to program and encode entire vehicle (GW Code: 299394443). vehicle was completely updated and encoded. No ELV faults at this time. what does this all mean? the invoice was mailed to me since I picked it up on a saturday and they didn't have the invoice on hand. |

"vehicle was completely updated and encoded"
It looks like you received a progman update. How long did they have your car? I believe you have to contact the dealer to know for sure and identify the version. |

Yes, the progman will update the ecu software. Although, if you received the progman update in October, it might be a later version (V30 or V31), but would still have the turbo lag and tune detection attributes.
