interior door handle not operating correctly

My 2011 e90 n55 is having an issue after a body shop disassembled my drivers door. If I pull the handle twice to open the door from a locked state it wont open unless I give the door handle a second to settle after the first pull. Has anyone encountered a similar issue and if so lmk what you think is going on, and yes I tried fully depressing the handle between pulls with no results.

I've included a video in case my description of the issue is dogshit.
https://youtube.com/shorts/KGK-PuLI2fc

In the first try you can se me lock the door then fail to open it without giving the door an additional third pull, same with the second try. On the third and fourth try, the door operates normally because I let the door handle sit for a second before pulling a second time to open the door.

A response would be appreciated.

Looks normal.
You don’t have to wait so long for the second pull but the handle does have to return all the way back to its original spot and then pull again.

Serf27, like I said in the post I’ve tried making sure it returns to its original state, I know how my door handle is meant to work, another thing I forgot to mention in the post is if I unlock the door from the button on the dash, It won’t matter how long I wait before pulling the handle it never open on the first try. The button will pop up but it will still take 2 tries to open the door, it’s definitely not functioning properly. Maybe try reading the entire post before replying, thanks.

Why didn’t you try it in the video then?
All you did was a fast pull and 2 pulls with a long pause in between.

Cable between the handle and actuator may be stretched or not seated properly or a fault inside the door actuator.

I didn’t try unlocking from the button in the video because I didn’t notice this issue until after I made the post. In the video I use the door handle as I would during normal use by pulling it twice relatively quickly. Thanks for the feedback.
