First time detailing my M

Unfortunately, we had a lot of rain in Hawaii today so I couldn't take the car out of the garage to snap some good pics. Here are a few I was able to take in the garage. The only thing I hate about detailing is that you always end up finding a new rock chip or scratch in the process.

Nice.

One tip for photographing after washing/detailing - drive the car first to get rid of the rust film on the brake rotors.

I typically do but it was pouring outside so I left it in the garage.

Nice job and love the color. Only minor flaw is the wheel wells could be dressed, but that paint is sweet!

I knew someone would comment on the wheel wells after I looked at the picture for awhile. I was too lazy for that.

Car looks awesome. What kind of cleaner/polish and wax did you go with?

Color looks so hot clean like that. If you drive your car, the rock chips are going to happen. If you decide to touch them up, FILL them in, do NOT paint over them. I like using the point of a wooden toothpick.

Great job.

I did an abbreviated version of my regular routine. After I washed, I did 1 pass with Menzerna P085RD and then followed up with 2 coats of Menzerna FMJ. I didn't do a clay bar pass since the car is so new. Typically 2 coats of FMJ will provide protection for about 4 months in the brutal Hawaii sun.
