Motorwerks of Barrington? Sales dept. is decent but service dept. sucks ass.

You pull into their service bay, they don't even look at you for 5 min while you are sitting in your car idling.

I'm glad I don't have to deal with them anymore.

(Patrick BMW at Schaumberg has excellent service dept., BTW)

oh and the thing with motor werks - the car i had my eye on was listed on their 'deals' sections - so it concluded of being sold after they just posted it for sale (within two days).

that is the wway the used car market works for BMW coupes. Good luck! Of course it will be easier to find a CPO 328xi sedan than a coupe. Hopefully you dont need to get in to something ASAP.

As for your other post, I was in this dilemma myself. I ended up deciding a 06 CPO was the better deal with the extended warranty. If you buy new, as soon as you drive off the lot your brand new car just depreciated 30%. Now what if you lose your employment, or get in a serious accident and become unable to pay your car payment? Anything can happen in this economy and I wanted to be prepared for this.

Now with a CPO, say you buy it and get fired the next day, you should be able to turn around and sell the car for close to what you bought it for and not be out as much $$ as if it were new. Also, CPOs are already broken in, fun to drive right out of the box, no waiting for the magic mileage before you can open it up. It is also easier to get more car for the cost as I found. A new 328xi with similar options as my 06 330xi was on average $2-5k more. This was a bit ago, so you may even be able to find a 07 335xi just off lease by now with similar results.

hope this helps!
