why did this message light up in my car?

it was a lightbulb shaped message with an exclamation mark in the middle. i turned off my lights and turned them back on and it went away. i think this happened when i first got the car too.

I'm sure you can find the symbol in your manual.

I believe thats the one that means some external light failed.. faulty connection? next time it is on circle the car and check all the external lights.

it's the satellite ECU fault triggered by BMWNA's tune sensor.

it basically says you've voided your warranty by running a tune, and the mothership has been notified.

.... or it's just a bulb out warning

i did that the first time it happened. and no light was out.

Brake lamp failure is very common and sporadic. Mine was always failing until they replaced the housing too.

no clue. I had mine repaired by BMW after they first attempted the fix by simply replacing the bulbs.

do CHECK CONTROL. See what it is, and look it up. May be your light bulb went out but that's fakin easy to check, lol.
