Sell, or fix then sell?
I have a problem. I'm about ready to buy a CPO e90 from a dealership. The clutch on my current car, an e46 is starting to go. I can shift into gear fine, but in 3rd gear and higher, if I step on the gas heavily, the engine revs for a second before the car actually accelerates. Anyway, I'm wondering what this community think I should do. Should I replace the flywheel and clutch (a job probably costing around $1200 for parts and labor), or just sell the car to the BMW dealership as is and let them fix it?

Yup, then a newbie will come along and say: "throttle lag on high gears when driving fast!" - Just got a used E46, and when I am driving it hard, and shifting to higher gears, the throttle response is delayed...what's wrong with my car?
Haha!

Do not waste your money, trade it in as is, like it was already said they may never notice it as having a problem. If they do and want to make an issue of it, do what I just did when trading in a same manufacturer car to dealer.
They pointed out a few items which were not working and said they would have to deducted it form the trade-in value, and I said well if your quality was better then this would not be an issue and should I expect the same poor quality from the next car if so lets deduct the cost now from the new car as well too. why should I pay for their poor quality. ya seriously the chances of them noticing it are slim to none, and when they finally do see it, you will be long gone by then
