Loss of power

Hi,

A week ago I traded in my Audi A4 Sport for a 2006 325i M Sport - today after not starting the car for a couple of days the car idles really roughly and when driving looses all power and then stalls, additionally the engine management light is now always on. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

You didn't have someone check it out for you BEFORE you bought it?

Yes I did. All was fine, until today

It could be any of 100 different things. You'll need to get the code to get additional help from the forum. You can get an ODB-II scanner from any local automotive parts store. They cost about $100.

does the warranty follow the car for the second owner, if so pay the transfer fee and make it their problem.
