just venting about lazy dealer ship
i needed BMW to reset my air bag light and they took apart the whole interior. now the passenger window doesnt close, no hi or lo beams, the rear view mirror is hanging on something, moon roof doesnt open, i have comfort access n when u lock the door now, the daytime running lights dont go off, the navi board hasnt been screwed in, ac light is flashing, n in the interior by the hood latch, right under it is a cover n it is now missing .....
I JUST WANTED THEM TO RESET THE AIR BAG LIGHT .. WAS I ASKING FOR TOO MUCH???? |

that's the opposite of lazy. You ask them to reset the airbag warning light and they actually took apart your interior, they've done more work than necessary

i had to bring it back to them cause the air bag light has not been resetted yet.
ahaha .. that is the opposite of lazy but idk what else to say to them. first off it took them about a week to reset the light. when i went to get the car .. i had to wait about another 2 hours for the car when they my friends shop that it was done n can be picked up now. |

I may be going out on a limb....but sounds like you got a case of the life quality disease!!!! I drive 45mins into jersey for my BMW dealer! I have been bitten a few too many times by that disease in the past!

That sounds very peculiar. I would call and talk to the service manager directly. If he is not accountable, and doesn't offer to resolve the issue ASAP, call BMWNA and get a representative involved.

Driving to back to school one night after a long weekend my airbags deployed on the highway for no apparent reason. A certain dealer in brooklyn was baffled and was going to charge me, until BMWNA got involved! They handled it right away and the car was "temporarily fixed" at no charge.
Use A Good Dealer To Fix Your Problem...Nothing More Serious Than an Airbag Issue!!! PM If you need some advice I dont want to bash certain people and service reps on the forum! ***This was an 00 E46 Not My New 335*** |

i got into an accident n damaged my beautiful car ... ehhh. airbags came out n so i had to get new airbags n everything. i wanted to bring it back to my dealer in nj but they said that they will just send it out to another shop to get it fixed. so rather than using a good couple hundred dollars to tow my car from brooklyn to new jersey to the dealer .. i towed my car to my friends shop n hoped it would be all good. i drove it for like half a day n car was getting looked at on the highway n local street .. it felt good n it driving fine. then i started to notice all those problems i listed before n called my friend bout it.
can i still get bmwna on them if im not actually bringing it to them cause my friend from the shop is the ones that are actually bringing it over to them. |

I still can't figure out why your dealer didn't do the repair - why it had to be "sent out" to someone else to do the work. Doesn't make sense. Plus, after you pointed all this out to your dealer - I'm assuming the BMW dealer you bought the car from - that they don't know how everything got so screwed up.
You need to get smart here and quick. Call the GM/Service Manager of the dealership and explain what happened to your car, step by step. Then write a letter - in better english than you did here on the board - to those people and copy BMW NA Customer Care. I would call BMW NA to let them know what's going on here - the dealer simply needs to fix everything they f-ked up to make it as new. I wouldn't accept anything less. Get busy - stop posting and start calling and writing. |

well right now everything is now fixed and cleared up. my dealer said that they dont the body work there and so therefore they would be sending it out to get repaired, re-painted and everything else that needs to be done. the car is now fixed and to me thats all that really matters. i mean if they took another week just to fix the things that they messed up then i would probably call up but since its done then im just going to leave it alone. i just wanted to vent out about this because it was really aggravating. u think everything is all done and your like yes, i get my baby back but next thing u know the things that were working fine are all messed up and the things that you needed to for them to fixed are still not fixed.
